Meet Antoinette

I love this chair even though it reminded me of the 8o's, I truly think my mother had a chair covered in the exact fabric when I was a kid (don't worry she has recovered the chair since then. I was so excited to find this chair I can't tell you. Here is the before......

And here she is today in all her glory, I think she is going to go in my bedroom as a reading chair.

Its hard to tell from the pic's that the wood is now a light blue/grey color and the fabric is a linen matterial. I need my Photographer sister to come home and take my before and afters for me! Lucky girl is in Spain, oh la la!

I finally got the Ugly (Broken) Big Screen TV out of the house! Woo hooo!!
So here is the before of the cute side table to put in the living room in place of the monster.

Now it has a home in my living room looking beautiful, and housing the shoe basket below.

A Much needed slip cover

I finally decided that the chair in my family HAD to be recovered, so I hunted and hunted for slip covers pre-made to use, IKEA was too small and my goodness Pottery Barn slip covers were a bit to expensive for me. SO I had to make my own and since I got a gift certificate to Home Depot for Chirstmas (thank you Kristin!) I knew just where to get the fabric, or should I say drop cloths!
here is the before, which I am most embarrased to show you but it shows how dire the situation was, maybe now is a good time to mention I have four sweet little ones who love to "play" on the chair.

And here is the after, I love it more than I thought I would

Now I just need to find the time to make the one for the couch!

Sea Grass Seat Chairs

I found three of these for $5 I really wanted to see if I could re-do the weaving of the seats myself. But in all honesty I had plans of cutting wood to cover as a back up plan! After much work and much sea grass weaving here is what I came up with....

I love them!

A fun Chair

So I found this chair at a garage sale for a whopping $15 dollars, someone came up to me as I was putting it in my car and asked me how much I wanted for it! I told her it was sold.

I love how it turned out, and then a few weeks later I got this stool that I thought would go perfect with it

Its such a happy couple and the girls love the extra seating in the ply room.

A beautiful dresser

Thanks for visiting my blog, you have found my first post, how exciting!
I got this dresser at a garage sale for $10, the paint was chipping off so I decided to scrape it down and paint it, I absolutely love it.
